2. Microphone Usage and Audio Recording (Parental Voice Feature)
The App includes a feature that allows parents to record their own voices to personalize the learning experience for their children.
- Microphone Access: The App requests microphone access only when a parent initiates the voice recording feature.
- Local Storage Only: All recorded audio data is stored locally on the user's device. These files are used exclusively for playback within the App.
- No Data Transmission: We do not collect, transmit, share, or store any audio recordings on our servers or with any third parties. Your voice data never leaves your device.
3. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
TinyTaps is designed for children under the age of 13. We strictly comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):
- We do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information (PII) from children.
- The voice recording feature is intended to be used by parents and is protected by a Parental Gate to prevent unauthorized use by children.
4. No Personal Information Collection
- No User Accounts: The App does not require user registration or accounts.
- No Tracking: We do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
- No Advertisements: To ensure a safe experience for toddlers, the App contains no third-party advertisements.
5. Data Deletion
As all recordings are stored locally, users can delete them at any time by removing the recordings within the App or by uninstalling the App itself.
