🔑 Parental Gate

All system adjustments and settings are locked behind a math puzzle gate (such as random multiplication) to ensure children cannot modify security or geolocation options.

🌿 Age-Tailored Fun Facts

Configure the vocabulary detail to match your child's age:

  • Level 1 (Toddler, ~3yo): 1-2 short, simple sentences (in Japanese, displayed in easy Hiragana).
  • Level 2 (Schoolchild, ~6yo): 2-3 sentences with simple, child-friendly vocabulary.
  • Level 3 (Advanced Explorer, >7yo): 3-4 detailed sentences using advanced vocabulary and kanji.

🔒 Privacy-First Geolocation

Location metadata is stripped from images automatically on-device. You can choose from three sharing settings:

  • No Sharing: No location metadata is stored or used.
  • Country Only: Shares only the country name to help identify regional species.
  • Rough Location: Coordinates are rounded to 2 decimal places (extremely low accuracy) to protect exact coordinates.

🚫 Allowed Categories

Toggle allowed scanning categories (Bugs, Birds, Fish, Animals, Plants, Mushrooms, or Other). Scanned items belonging to a blocked category will not be added to the child's explorer log.

📸 Real-World & Relaxed Scanning Modes

Switch between two modes depending on the setting:

  • Real Photos Only: Verifies that the photo is of an actual living creature outdoors. Displays prompts if kids scan toys or textbook illustrations.
  • Drawings & Books: Relaxed mode designed for indoor exploration or rainy days to scan pictures and learn at home.
